Houston Memorial United Methodist Church

Welcome to Houston Memorial United Methodist Church

We are a small United Methodist congregation serving rural Winston County, Alabama — a simple church with a big heart for God and for our neighbors.

At Houston Memorial, we gather to worship, grow in faith, and support one another through life’s joys and challenges. We value real relationships, strong faith, and caring for each other like family.

Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or are just passing through, you are welcome here.

We invite you to join us this Sunday. Come as you are, dress comfortably, and worship with us. There’s always room for you at Houston Memorial.

Traditional Worship

Our Pastor

Becky began her ministry here on July 1, 2020.

She is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Becky is passionate about helping people encounter God in worship, grow in prayer, and receive thoughtful spiritual and pastoral care. Whether in gathered worship or one-on-one conversation, she loves walking alongside people in every season of life. She also serves as the volunteer chaplain for the Central Volunteer Fire Department.

Her motto? Never stop improving.

Becky and her husband, Alan, have been married since 2016 and are the proud caretakers of two cats, Greg and Duane, who bring them great joy. They enjoy working out together at Planet Fitness, hiking on occasion, and watching old westerns.

She looks forward to getting to know you personally.
